NGC4565

Supernova in Galaxy NGC4424

The supernova is the bright star just left of center within the fuzzy-looking galaxy. The other bright star near the top above the galaxy is Magnitude 11.94 according to TheSkyX Pro. So I would say the supernova was about Magnitude 11 or 12 when this image was taken near midnight on 27 May 2012.
