This might be one of my best "technically." Very little noise was in the image due to stacking 27 20 minute frames... Stacked in Maxim DL - Color corrected using eXcalibrator - Deconvolution in CCDStack - Additional processing in PhotoShop - This object is right where geosynchronous satellites orbit so there were lots of satellite trails in each of the original images. Stacking in Maxim DL using Sigma Clip eliminated the trails... Below is an excerpt of one of the original frames showing the trails. Note that this frame has not been color corrected. My camera uses a Bayer Mask so blue, for example, is not as strong as it should be... Correction factors for Red, Green, Blue in this case were 1, 1.478, 2.862... |
