One of my favorite objects. First saw it in an astronomy book when I was 8 years old. At that time, all deep space astrophotos were black and white... This turned out to be a relatively difficult object. It is pretty dim and some of the stars are relatively very bright leading to a tendency to "bloom." Color corrected using Aladin and eXcalibrator systems. So the colors are as accurate as I know how to make them... |
